May is always one of my favorite months, situated right after spring and right before summer.

And this May we have lots of adventures to share with you.

We start off things with a weeklong salute to Orange County May 18th to 25th. Adventures include a Road Trip to San Jaun Capistrano where we spend the day in the Los Rios Historic District the oldest continually occupied neighborhood in California maybe even in the country! Its on the National Register of Historic Places and is filled with neat places to visit and nice people to meet.

Other stops during the week include the Centennial Farm located on the grounds of the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa. Talk about energy and fun the four acre working farm has everything from a fruit and vegetable garden, to livestock, to a huge red Millennium Barn. One of the highlights of this adventure was getting up close and personal with Phil Henderson and his team of BIG oxen!



In a salute to Orange County boats we travel to Newport Beach to ride on the legendary Balboa Island Ferry, visit the historic Dory Fleet and take a ride aboard the Wild Goose a yacht which used to be the pride and joy of John Wayne. Then we travel to Huntington Beach to spend the day in the 365 acre Central Park which is the jewel of their public park system.

May also includes a springtime visit to the incredible Getty Center Garden, which is such an integral part of the Getty Center itself. Designed by world-renowned artist Robert Irwin it is itself a spectacular work of art and the maze of blooming bright red azaleas were totally breathtaking.
